The younger brother was sympathetic toward the security officer who was alive and stuck in the pit, so he asked his brother to help him come out. Matt cruelly refused to help the man instead threaten his brother to kill him too if he says anything about that man to anyone. Joey is still struggling to save the man whether he has to go against his brother.
